What playing levels are offered?
For adults, eTennisLeague.com uses the NTRP rating system as the basis for adult league playing levels. We initially offer levels 1.5 through 6.0 in all cities. All levels are available but we create league season for specific levels according to participation and number of registered players. If you are a 2.0 player and for example we only have 3 players registered that is not enough for us to start a league, but as registration progresses each level gets activated as soon as we have at least number for player for the round of 8.
How much does it cost to play?
Adult leagues are regularly priced at $25 for men's and women's singles. When we start league in new cities first season is usually free.
How long league season lasts?
League season lasts for 45 days straight. After your finish playing your matches and get qualified for playoff we allow you few days to let us know if you are available to play the playoffs.

If you decide to send a message then you will need to go to active season and click submit score after match is over and system will record match time when you submit your score. We highly recommend using our availability and reserve player system as that will create match requests, match queue and schedule that works for both you and your opponent.

Where do I play my matches?
Players must choose a home facility when registering for a league. Players can choose courts in their neighborhood, at a public or private facility, or anywhere there is a court that can be reserved for play and that has restroom facilities. All leagues must choose facilities with lighted courts since some matches may be played in the evenings. Players will typically play half of their matches at their home courts and half of their matches at their opponents' courts. We create divisions based on playing level and location with an attempt to minimize the driving distance to away matches! If you do not have courts, contact us to get a listing of public tennis facilities in your area!
How do I schedule matches?
Reserved schedule is one of many great features for eTennisLeague.com. With reserved schedule you can go in and see your opponent availablity and propose play time in reference to that. On the other side your opponent will have option to accept/reject or re-schedule match. Most of other systems use either pre-set schedule who you play with week after week or it's a mass message/email schedule where you send message to every player in your league asking if someone is available to play. We've solve that problem with set availabliity and reserve player, so now when you set your availability for a week, and season starts other player's go in season draw click reserve player, they look your availability and they propose two terms for the match, they can both be on your schedule, or if you set only one day they can propose one time that is on their schedule. But they will have to propose two terms for play. Reserve player request will show up on the dashboard with option to accept/reject or re-schedule and as soon as match request is accepted it is automatically moved to match queue. After match completion one of two players go in and submits score which is automatically populated on the league board as points. If you for any reason are new to this system and prefer old school messaging, that option is also available during the active season when you go to the active season table you will see small link for message, click that and send private message to your opponent to schedule a match. We do recommend using our system for scheduling as that way match request and match queue is created making your schedule easy to manage but if you decide not to you can always submit score and we'll record match time at the time you submit your score.
How do I submit scores?
To submit a friendly match result, first you will need to locate player against who you played the match. In order to do so, type his name into a search bar at player list page. When you find your opponent, click on his profile where you will be offered submit a friendly match result option. Remember, this option will not be provided if player previously did not confirm that he is willing to play friendly matches.
During the active season your schedule will appear at your dashboard page. You will be able to see the list of players against who you can play during those 2 months, with determined home court privilege. Everything else is left to players to agree. Beside contact information of your opponents, you will be offered submit score feature. Click submit score and enter your match score and you and your opponent gets notified via email about the score. Only one of you can enter the score. Results are being populated in the active season table and points showing in real-time.
How To Submit Second Score?
After submitting the first score of previously scheduled match, additional match will automatically appear in the match queue. Obviously, home courts will be switched. By introducing this new feature, players got the privilege to play revanche match against the same player. Check our Second Score Feature video presentation.
What is match notes used for?
After you finish your match and you go to submit score you can put notes about your match so next time you play or browse your opponents just click view notes and we'll remind you tacticts you used or any other piece of information's you feel is important at that point of time. Many players use different tactics and when they work you definitely want to memorize that, so this is where match notes comes to life giving you that option.
What is sportsmanship rating and how to submit?
One more feature we are very proud of is sportmenship rating. It's a very simple one to five star system that rates player's sportmanship. After match is completed and you go in to submit score you will be asked to rate sportsmenship for your opponent. This is simply done to keep this league play fair and avoid playing with player that are not fair. This is a mandatory field and it is required for every match including friendly matches you play and it is calculated throughout the year and seasons.
How many points do I need to qualify for the season playoff?
You will need only 1 point to qualify to the playoff which is equal to winning one set. During active season you will see in the active table if you are qualified for playoff or no. Red x means you are not qualified, green check means qualified and orange check means you got yourself a wildcard. We believe that during season players learning about each other thru the matches and that playoff is where most of players should have a change to participate and fight for the prizes.
How are your playoffs?
Our playoffs are wimbledon style playoffs and we are very proud with our system. When season ends and your confirm your playoff availability our system automatically creates draw and you start your matches. Every round is 7 days, and if there is not enough players for the round players with lowest scores will need to play qualifications to get into playoff rounds. For example we have 17 players qualified for the playoff and naturally round of 16 should be created instead of 32 like other leagues do by giving all players buy round and then only two players play for round of 16, so we call this round qualification round where two players play in order to get number of 16 and start with 16 players. You can easily browser playoff round and view them in League Stats after playoff ends.
What kind of prizes you give and sweepsteaks?
Depending on the league skill level and season availablity we have dynamic system of giving out prizes. Our standard prizes for the champion are trophy for the season with engraved name, season, year and skill level. Champion also gets $50 and above giftcard from one of the online tennis stores so you can buy whatever you want without limitations. Our prize fond goes up with participation and that is why we call it dynamic system of giving out prizes, so the more players signs up the higher is prize. Top level men's and women's receives cash prizes up to $600. Also when you play 3 season within the period of one year you get qualified for sweepstake to go to one of the grandslam tournaments at our expense with paid airplane ticket, hotel and passes to the matches. No league gives you more in the world.
